Skin-transforming DIY face mask that acts really fast

The recipe of this nourishing face mask was developed by a professional cosmetologist who strongly recommends to include DIY natural remedies to the beauty routine.

This homemade face mask contains only natural and affordable ingredients that are on hand at any kitchen. The only thing that you need to buy in advance is a bag of colorless henna.

    Ingredients:

    • one egg yolk,
    • ½ tsp of honey,
    • 1 tsp of milled sea salt,
    • 1 tsp of any natural vegetable oil,
    • 1 tbsp of grated onion,
    • 1 tbsp of oatmeal mixed with boiling water,
    • colorless henna (in proper amount to get creamy and thick enough texture of the whole mixture).

Egg yolk is made up of mostly water and fats, which makes it a great water-binding agent that locks moisture into your skin cells, leaving your face soft and supple. The nutrients in egg yolks work to hydrate, nourish, and moisturize dull skin.

Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the skin and ensures it’s retained it in the layers where it’s needed most for penetrating, long-lasting hydration. Honey is loaded with antioxidants, enzymes, and other nutrients that nourish, cleanse, and hydrate skin.

Sea salt is a natural detoxifier, as the salt absorbs toxins from the skin. Since sea salt does not go through the same manufacturing processes as table salt, the minerals from the sea remain, many of these minerals also provide nutrients and benefits to the skin.

Onions are packed with vitamins A, C, and E – all of which contribute to skin health. They protect the skin from premature aging that is caused by free radicals. And since the vegetable is a powerful antiseptic, it can also shield the skin from bacteria that cause issues. Also vitamin C is important for imparting a glow to the skin.

Oatmeal helps to heal blemishes and repair damaged skin. It contains 18 different amino acids, which are essential to healthy skin. Amino acids act as building blocks for the body, helping to rebuild tissue and promote healing. Also when used in conjunction with skin-hydrating ingredients, oatmeal can help your skin take on a glowing, dewy appearance.

Colorless henna eliminates inflammation, nourishes, cleanses, restores the skin, features a clearly expressed anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti inflammatory action. Henna is very beneficial for skin rejuvenation, as it contains a special acid that binds scleroprotein within the skin cells, that is very important for anti-aging treatments.
