    You can make your own mouthwash out of cinnamon powder and some other breath-freshening ingredients! Just mix together cinnamon, honey, baking, lemon juice and baking soda.

    Honey has high level of antimicrobial content, which speeds up the procedure of killing oral bacteria.

    The stinking smell caused in our mouth can efficiently be masked by the refreshing aroma of lemon. The strong citrus scent plays a key role in increasing the power if cinnamon in this homemade mouthwash.

    Baking soda also comes with bacteria-killing properties and you can also get whiter teeth by using it in your mouthwash.

    You’ll need:

    • ½ tbsp of cinnamon,
    • ½ tbsp of honey,
    • juice of 2 lemons,
    • 1 tsp of baking soda,
    • 1 cup of warm water.




    How to make

    1. Put the cinnamon into a bottle or jar with a tight fitting lid.
    2. Add the juice of freshly squeezed lemons.
    3. Add honey and baking soda to the mixture.
    4. Pour 1 cup of very warm water into the jar, and stir well.
    5. Store for not more than 2 weeks as it doesn’t contain any sort of preservative.

    Using honey and baking soda simultaneously can sure give you great outcomes. But if you wish, you can skip any one of these two.

    How to use

    When you need to freshen up your breath, give it a quick shake and swish 1-2 tablespoons for a minute.

    This homemade mouthwash gives the best results when used every day in the morning. Don’t use the mouthwash more than once to twice a day (the lemon is very acidic).
